How to Improve Your LinkedIn Company Page

How to Improve Your LinkedIn Company Page

You may think that you're covering all your bases when you optimize your Facebook and Twitter accounts for your business, but what about LinkedIn? LinkedIn provides businesses, big and small, with opportunities to expand their social reach.

If you feel like your LinkedIn inbound marketing strategy is lacking, here are a few tips to attract leads:

Optimize your page

LinkedIn, by nature, is one of the more professional social media channels. Because of this, your business needs to craft your page to include industry buzzwords that'll make your page easier to find. But your content isn't solely restricted to words. Your images also need to be high-quality and appropriately sized. In essence, make it easy for people to find your page and once they find it, make your page stand out.

post relevant content

Although it's important to have an idea of what your followers would like to read, it's something you'll learn as you begin to post. Maybe your followers enjoy more entertaining posts rather than a spotlight on industry news. Likes and shares speak volumes. Listen to them.

Target your audience

When you post on LinkedIn, you are capable of targeting who gets to see your posts and updates. Filter by industry, geography, company size, and more. Although the drawback of trageting your audience is that you'll have a smaller reach, the benefit is that your reach will be highly relevant, thereby, attracting more leads.

Update consistently

Remember that old adage, quality over quantity? Well, it applies to any and all social media channels. Think about it. The more you post on your LinkedIn page, the more valuable content you'll have for people to find. Not only that, but if you link back to your website, you'll increase your SEO for the linked pages. Try to mix up your posting schedule so that you're not just stuck writing about news articles or opinion pieces.

add to the conversation

Remember that LinkedIn isn't just about posting content, it's also about joining conversations. Elicit engagement by asking intriguing questions. Try and talk about industry-specific problems and provide solutions and then ask for input on those solutions. Sure, you want people to visit your page, but you also want them to develop a relationship with your company and that starts with a conversation.

analytics

Don't skimp on tracking your data. Your data pinpoints where your LinkedIn strategy is effective and where and when it's not. Not only does the data show you how many people are reading your stuff but also who returns for more and eventually become leads.
